Nice glad to hear, are you planning to add more Helium miners to your fleet? Currently it seems like you only have one

@CoinChaser Helium mining has been in a bit of flux right (putting it kindly.) This badge is actually from the Helium phone service which provides HNT if you allow them to map the service from your phone, until recently it earned MOB. The miner you see is the LORAWAN device that until recently earned IOT, has been through that chain migration and is, as many miners of that era, orphaned by their makers as they no longer support the hardware or software.

While I have several other Bobbers, as well as BlackBox and Browan IOT devices, until someone comes up with a solution for the abandoned hardware, the LORA segment of the ecosystem will be in limbo. The mobile 5G HNT mining (formerly MOB) is better time spent at this point.

Missed out on Wingbits? Check out 4DSKY 😯

100•posted •active

4DSKY is a newer project. https://www.4dsky.com

To give you context. Wingbits has existed for YEARS I’ve been mining it since DIY units. If you like the idea of getting in early, it doesn’t get any better. You are extremely early here.

DISCLOSURE: I don’t currently mine this or have any points/tokens.

There are huge risks/rewards for taking the leap into something like this. Will the project work? I have no idea.

4DSKY current stats:

  • 41 units in the USA.

  • 8 units in Canada.

Some information about them:

4DSKY is the first edge-native flight tracking network, designed for critical applications requiring real-time data with no servers or lag. Unlike traditional centralized networks, which suffer from single points of failure and latency, 4DSKY's edge architecture connects flight information displays and other software directly to sensors for high availability.

Why It’s Unique

  • Real-Time Edge Network: Applications connect directly to sensors, eliminating lag.

  • Resilient Architecture: No centralized servers ensure reliability for critical use cases.

  • Experienced Founders: Over 30 years of expertise in aviation safety verification.

  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Backed by Hedera’s decentralized services and built for DePIN applications with real-world airport and drone clients.

How It Works

  • Neuron Nodes: Transform Jetvision Airsquitter sensors into network nodes.

  • Hedera Integration: Sensors connect to Hedera's testnet for decentralized services.

  • Direct Connectivity: Software applications can link directly to sensors or use 4DSKY APIs.

Key Features of the Airsquitter Sensor

  • Detects five types of transponders, including ADS-B, UAT, and Flarm, enabling tracking of more aircraft compared to traditional sensors.

  • Available in three versions based on region:

    • UAT Bundle: For US users.

    • Passive Flarm Bundle: For Australia and South America.

    • Active Flarm Bundle: For the rest of the world.

Getting Started

  • Purchase an Airsquitter sensor (~$700 USD). 👉 https://webshop.jetvision.de/en/neuron/

  • Install it on a high point (roof, mast, or attic).

  • Plug into mains power and connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Rewards System
4DSKY rewards you with points for contributing data based on:

  • Reliability: Keep your device connected and operational.

  • Uptime: Longer installations yield more points.

  • Range: Place antennas as high as possible with unobstructed views.

  • Uniqueness: Be the first in a unique location, at least 2km from others.

  • Location: Proximity to airports or drone delivery areas.

Points earned are converted into tokens when the network moves to the mainnet. You’ll receive an airdrop proportional to your accumulated points.

Important 💩

  • 4DSKY doesn’t manufacture or earn commissions on sensor sales.

  • The Jetvision Airsquitter is recognized as a cost-effective, high-performance flight tracking sensor by aviation professionals.

  • Early adopters benefit from simple setup and potential future algorithm adjustments, with fair notice for changes.

So. What do you guys think?

Are you going to get into 4DSKY?

No
