I have your ANYONE router and as my ISP (Starlink) doesn’t supply a public IP address, will this become an option in the future? I am currently not using / earning with this device.

I’ve not had any problems with any other DePIN devices which manage to work quite well with my current ISP set up.

@DePIN_Pete We will have the official AMA post in about 30 minutes where you can ask them directly (it would notify them there, so more likely to get an answer)

Similar question as @bob_carsyn, how can we ensure that our IP doesn’t get burned? I can easily see some usage for scraping google and other gray activities

Not sure I am around later, so will ask now. 1. How are you ensuring that “questionable content” is not being pushed through my network with the physical device? 2. What is the value proposition of the physical device now that there is a windows version?

@bob_carsyn As long as you are not running your relay as a “Exit Node” then it doesn’t / shouldn’t matter. Only the exit node will have it’s IP Addy broadcasted to the Internet and ISP.

@Centurion_2K Is the anyone device configurable to “not run as an exit node” and if so does that reduce rewards?

@bob_carsyn The hardware relay is not set automatically as an “Exit Node”. So unless you config it to run as one, you will not be one. Exit nodes do earn bonus rewards for being one.

This is from my relay log earlier this morning as it rebooted itself:

Jun 17 08:09:04.189 [notice] By default, Anon does not run as an exit relay. If you want to be an exit relay, set ExitRelay to 1. To suppress this message in the future, set ExitRelay to 0.

@Centurion_2K allowing users to elect to either allow or block being an exit node, and also leaving the default to “off,” was a smart move imo. The documentation on the site now describes the inherent risks as serving as an exit.

Credit where credit’s due since I’ve raised concerns about this in the past.
